Detailed Description

 

GROUND FLOOR MAIN HOUSE

Reception Hall:
The house is entered at the front via a huge pair of antique wooden doors into a reception hall with free-standing large antique coat cupboard and features exposed wooden beams and tiled floor. (All floor tiles have been made by R Burgos of Ronda.)

Office / Library Area:
Is situated on the left of the hallway and features a working fireplace with book shelving either side, an exposed wooden beamed ceiling and tiled floor.  Two shuttered windows look out across the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja Mountains.

Formal Dining Room and Wine Store:
The dining room is accessed directly from the entrance hall. Features include a working fireplace, exposed wooden beamed ceiling with antique chandelier, handmade tiled floor and separate wine store for over 240 bottles.  A pair of French windows open out to the pool area and garden.

Salon:
From the dining room the huge salon is accessed via a large pair of antique wooden doors. These extremely old doors were originally the entrance doors to a property and feature a separate small pedestrian door built into the larger doors. The salon features include a working 2m x 1.7m fireplace, exposed wooden beamed ceilings with antique chandelier and handmade tiled floor.

Three pairs of shuttered French windows open out onto the pool area and garden.

This light and airy space is furnished with a perfect balance between rustic Spanish antiques and stylish modern classics.

Kitchen:
Going back through the dining room, the kitchen is accessed on the right hand side.  This extremely large space of over 33m2 has recently been fitted out with a modern custom built fully equipped kitchen using both gas and electricity.  It has a stylish breakfast bar, two huge Belfast porcelain sinks, a fan assisted oven, a separate combination oven, a separate plate warmer as well as domestic dishwasher, washing machine plus two fridge freezers and a freestanding cabinet freezer, wine cooler. There is also a service hatch into bar/restaurant or family area and double doors that open out to the front car park allowing easy access for shopping.

Downstairs Toilets / Utility Area:
Just off the dining room through an archway, there are two guest toilets and an utility area with plenty of wooden built-in storage cupboards.

Bar:
From here the bar can be accessed, which is an area that can be completely enclosed during the winter months, or opened out onto the pool and garden when the weather is warmer.  Features include traditional decorative Spanish tiles around the bar, working sink and Moroccan style wall lights. There is plenty of storage space and power points.

Restaurant / Family & Games Room:
From the bar there is direct into the large restaurant area which can seat up to 70 people or can be used as a games room or family room.
Features include a mature palm tree growing through the middle of the restaurant, ten arched windows all with custom made shutters that open out onto the garden, overhead traditional fans, Moroccan style wall lights and an enormous decorative Morroccan lamp.  There are also a further set of double doors that lead out to the built in BBQ area and car park.

FIRST FLOOR MAIN HOUSE

From the dining room there is a staircase leading up to a first floor landing with large built in wardrobe and cupboards featuring traditional Spanish doors.

Master Bedroom
On the left of the landing is the large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (antique marble bath and a pair of sinks). There is a 2m modern smoked glass built in wardrobe with ample hanging space, shelving and internal led lighting.
Features include a working fireplace, high beamed wooden ceiling and tiled floor. Two pairs of French windows open out onto a large private balcony with extensive views over the pool and gardens.

Second Bedroom
On the right of the landing is a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom (antique marble bath and pair of sinks). 
Features include a high beamed wooden ceiling and polished wooden floor. 
A pair of French windows open out onto an extensive terrace shared with bedroom three, which has views of the garden and foot hills and a separate staircase down leading to the front of the house.

Third Bedroom
On the right of the landing is another large bedroom with en-suite bathroom (antique marble bath and sinks). 
Features include a high beamed wooden ceiling and polished wooden floor. 
A pair of French windows open out onto the terrace shared with bedroom two.

ADDITIONAL ROOMS (Separate from the Main House):

Fourth Bedroom
This ground floor double bedroom has a large modern en-suite shower room.
Features include a tiled floor and a small covered terrace outside.
Currently being used as an office.

Fifth Bedroom
To the right of the fourth bedroom are some tiled stairs leading past an Andalucian patio with fountain, and up to the fifth bedroom. 
This huge room has a large en-suite bathroom (antique marble bath and sinks) and is currently being used as self contained accommodation.
Features include an antique entrance door, a high beamed ceiling and wooden floor.  Two French windows open out onto a private balcony with views of the pool and gardens. 

Sixth Bedroom
The last double bedroom is located at the top of the tiled stairs and has a small modern bathroom and private terrace with views of the garden.

OUTDOOR AREAS:

Moroccan Style Terrace
This large covered terrace is situated at the bottom of the tiled stairs.
Features include four large arches looking out onto the pool and garden, a fountain, exposed wooden beamed ceiling, cobbled floor, built in seating and Moroccan style wall lights.

Pool Area
Situated in the centre of El Molino, the pool area is surrounded by exotic plants and flowers, with plenty of space nearby for outdoor seating and sun loungers.  The pool room is neatly tucked away out of sight underground at the end. 

BBQ Area
This custom built ‘traditional style’ BBQ is situated next to the family room under a mature palm tree and has work areas including shelving, external electrical sockets and water supply. Features include decorative Spanish tiles and a fresh herb plot next to it.

Private Well
Is situated near the back car park and can be used for the garden’s irrigation system or the water supply can be run to the house.

Laundry Room
Is situated near the car park and has plenty of shelving space plus two washing machines and a tumble dryer.  The machines can be run using water from the well.

3 Storage Sheds and Gardening Shed

Front Driveway
Front entrance (parking for 4-5 cars) featuring original mill stone, river, mature rose garden, jasmine covered walls and banana trees.

Private Car Park on Back Land
Parking for approx. 20 cars.

Mature Gardens
Features include a large formal fountain in the main part of the garden, orange and lemon groves, figs, avocados, mandarins, custard apples, tomatoes, potatoes plus whatever the gardener decides to plant.  In addition there are various flower beds and an extensive irrigation system. 

Back Land
Is accessed via the main garden.  This large plot of land is tucked away behind El Molino and has great potential for further development. (approx. 4000m2)
